Solatum Ophthalmic Viscoelastic Device (OVD) is a dispersive, high-quality, non-animal sodium salt of hyaluronic acid manufactured from bacterial synthesis. The 1.5% Sodium Hyaluronate is supplied in pre-filled syringes, in two sizes - 1.0ml and a unique 2.0ml (15mg/ml). Solatum OVD is for use to aid anterior or posterior segment ophthalmic surgery, including cataract extraction with or without implantation of an intraocular lens, cornea transplant surgery, glaucoma filtering surgery and secondary lens implantation.
